Refund Policy

We want you to be confident in your purchase. This policy explains when and how you can request a refund for a course bought on course.tempr.ca.
0114-Day Money-Back Guarantee
You may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your purchase, provided that:
- You have completed less than 25% of the course modules, and
- You have not attempted a module exam or the final exam, and
- You have not been issued a certificate of completion.
If you meet these conditions, we will refund 100% of the purchase price to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.
02After 14 Days
After 14 days from purchase, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law (e.g., Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002).
03Substantial-Use Exception
Even within the 14-day window, a refund is not available if any of the following has occurred:
- You have completed 25% or more of the course content;
- You have attempted any graded exam (module exam or final exam);
- A certificate of completion has been issued in your name;
- You have downloaded the course workbook, resources, or other materials in bulk for offline use.
These conditions exist because our courses are digital content delivered in full at purchase. Once substantial content has been consumed, the product has been used.
04Free Courses, Promotional Enrollments, and Discount Codes
- Free courses (price $0) are not refundable because no payment was made.
- Promotional enrollments issued via access code by Tempr.ca or a partner organization are not refundable.
- Courses purchased at a discount or promotional price are refundable on the same terms as full-price courses; the refund amount is the price actually paid.
05How to Request a Refund
Email refunds@tempr.ca within the 14-day window. Include:
- The email address used to make the purchase;
- The course name or order/receipt number;
- A brief reason for the refund (optional, but helps us improve).
We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Stripe to the original payment method.
06Chargebacks
If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us first at refunds@tempr.ca — we can almost always resolve refund requests faster than a chargeback. Initiating a chargeback for a course you have substantially completed, or outside the 14-day window, may be disputed by us with evidence of access and progress.
07Exam Outcomes
Tempr.ca courses are exam-preparation and educational materials. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or guaranteed to result in a passing score on any third-party examination (including BCIN qualifications, Industry Canada amateur radio exams, or Ontario Ministry of Education credits). Failing an external exam after completing one of our courses is not grounds for a refund.
08Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Refund requests are evaluated under the policy in effect on the date of your purchase.
